    The UK’s median earnings went up by 3.5% last year, which has resulted in the average person taking home about £560 per week which works out to be around £29,500 a year. Figures however vary hugely on a person’s age and occupation. Those employed as either managers, directors or seniors earn around £266 more than the average person each week, whereas those working in care and leisure were paid the lowest.
